went to watch a perfect catch today, starring jimmy fallon (he's cute in a weird kinda way) and drew barrymore (she's so damn skinny now). but its a great story. made me realise how our (i'm speaking in general here, not mine perse) obsessions sometimes distract us from the truly important things in our lives. no matter how passionate we are about something, - be it a hobby, a sport, a game, anything - no matter how much we love it, does it love us back?

like in the story, fallon is this die hard baseball fan and he's dating super successful career woman barrymore. after 11 months, she realises that he treats baseball above her. even when she invites him to paris for a holiday, he declines, because an important baseball game is on that weekend. (now this part was really urgh-ing. take note of this particular event, cos i'll be refering to it again later on below. so after that, she decides to break it off.

after a few more series of events, he realises that he's been an idiot, loving something that cant love him back, when he actually had someone who loved him back. ok that sounded complicated. he loved baseball, but baseball cant love him back. and at the same time, drew barrymore loved him, but he didnt love her as much as baseball. so yeah. one of his students told him "u might love baseball, but has baseball ever loved you back?" words of wisdom there by a kid. so he took that advice, and went back to her, but she wont accept it. ok long story short, in the end he gave up everything baseball for her. she went back to him, but told him to continue his passion of baseball.

so moral of the story was, u have to have priorities. always ask, does/can it love you back? and sometimes you must be willing to sacrifice something you hold dear, for the greater good of your life.

remember that part i told you to remember earlier up? well the story is actuali based on a book by nick hornby. thats when it clicked to me and izabebs. its a typical nick hornby story. where you have one character that u really hate, (well not hate in a "i-wanna-kill-you" kinda hate, but like frustated kinda hate). yeah. so in the story, fallon was that guy. if i were reading the book, i'd have msged izabebs "ish so frustrated with the guy, selenge".

ok its getting too long for my own good.

was supposed to camwhore today, but sadly, the pics didnt turn out nice. :(
