its that time of the year again. where windows get wiped, floors get scrubbed, plastic flowers get put up (even in some toilets that i know off) and all sorts of makcik knick knacks (from the flowers to the frames to the ayats) come out of the woodwork.

so in line with everybody else, Ops Raya swung into full gear at my place today. some advance prep were already completed last week la (like my previous entry on my uhm.. sticks in a vase) but everything actually started today. i spent like a few hours in the kitchen cutting stuff up, opening kerangs and peeling prawns. then i helped dad make ketupat. then i put up new curtains.

lets see what else is on the list for tomorow. oh yes i hafta clean the bathrooms and mop the house i think.

im supposed to be on leave till the 31st but lo and behold, i got an sms saying im down for duty on the 30th. and i have to book in this wednesday for something. i dont know what but i think its a meeting of sorts. cos well my men got into some trouble. sigh. why do they hafta do what they do sometimes. cant they just behave?

oh well. happy last day of fasting everyone! then its time to pig out and do dosa to each other all over again after this mth of patience and starvation!
